Our advanced practice providers work alongside our urologists to extend access across all 11 locations. They evaluate new patients, manage established patients, perform in-office procedures, and coordinate care across the practice.
About Our Practice
A Practice Built on Subspecialty Depth
University Urology is a physician-owned, independent practice based at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Our urologists completed fellowship training in their respective subspecialties after a five-year urology residency — an additional one to two years of intensive focus that most urologists do not pursue.
The result is a practice that handles the full breadth of urology while offering depth that regional urologists, primary care physicians, oncologists, and other specialists rely on when their patients need a higher level of expertise. We are principal investigators in multiple national clinical trials, contributors to peer-reviewed literature, and active mentors to urology residents and fellows at UTMC.
Being physician-owned and independent means clinical decisions are made by the physicians caring for you — not by a hospital system or corporate entity.
