Clinical Focus
Subspecialty Focus
East Tennessee’s Only Fellowship-Trained Male Reconstructive Urologist
Male reconstructive urology addresses the structural and functional consequences of disease, injury, and cancer treatment. Dr. Lacy’s Cleveland Clinic fellowship training gives him expertise in surgical solutions that most urologists do not perform.
Urethral Stricture & Urethroplasty
Urethral stricture disease causes progressive urinary obstruction and significantly impacts quality of life. Dr. Lacy performs the full spectrum of urethroplasty techniques — anastomotic, buccal mucosal graft, and flap repairs — tailored to stricture length, location, and etiology. All urethroplasty cases regardless of geography are performed by Dr. Lacy.
Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS)
The gold-standard surgical treatment for male stress urinary incontinence, particularly after prostatectomy. Dr. Lacy is the only surgeon at University Urology performing AUS implantation. High satisfaction rates in appropriately selected patients, including those with prior radiation therapy.
Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (IPP)
Definitive surgical treatment for medication-resistant erectile dysfunction. Dr. Lacy is the primary IPP surgeon at University Urology, performing both 3-piece inflatable and malleable device implantation. Candidates include post-prostatectomy ED, severe vascular disease, and men with both Peyronie’s and ED.
Peyronie’s Disease & Xiaflex
Peyronie’s disease causes penile curvature, pain, and erectile dysfunction from scar tissue formation. Dr. Lacy offers Xiaflex injections (FDA-approved injectable treatment), plication procedures, and combined IPP with intraoperative straightening for men with both curvature and severe ED.
