About Laura A. Mathis, FNP-BC
Laura Mathis, Family Nurse Practitioner, was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006 from Carson-Newman University and spent nine years as a Medical/Surgical RN at UT Medical Center.
She advanced her education by earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Carson-Newman University and is board-certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She has focused much of her career in acute care and internal medicine, and in recent years has specialized in general urology with a particular focus on advanced prostate cancer and hormone therapy.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys exercising, walking her Goldendoodle, and spending time with her husband and son.
